The five Wellington photographers in Old Gates New Journeys all journey through the New Zealand landscape, opening and closing gates as they traverse physical and cultural terrain. Brought together as a group the selected work provides a kind of visual poetic journey, touching on memory and history, from personal, local and national examinations of identity.
