Outdoor People - The Paintings and Prints of Juliet Peter

24 August - 30 September 2001 in the Hirschfeld Gallery
Juliet Peter and her husband Roy Cowan have been fixtures on Wellington’s cultural landscape since the 1950s. Pursuing a lifestyle devoted to their artistic practise, they were important models for like-minded artists, and their self-imposed independence and willingness to explore new avenues has carried them into new areas of New Zealand art. Outdoor People explores the paintings and prints of Juliet Peter, paying tribute to one member of that creative partnership.
