Exhibitions » Exhibition Archive » 2000 » Parihaka: The Art of Passive Resistance
This project will comprise a gallery-wide exhibition at City Gallery Wellington, which will include existing artworks depicting the story of Parihaka and its leaders, Te Whiti o-Rongomai and Tohu Kakahi. New pieces about these subjects will be commissioned from both Māori and Pākehā artists. These will be augmented by historical and contemporary photographs.
