Susan Norrie: Room For Error

For its opening programme City Gallery Wellington invited Australian artist Susan Norrie to develop a site-specific installation involving new work. Room for Error also relaunched a programme of Australian artists’ projects and exhibitions at City Gallery Wellington in its new building in Civic Square.

Norrie often produces series of works based around a unifying concept. Room for Error focuses on the human body as a metaphorical room with the parts elegantly dissected and reclassified in a new context. The room is not just a gallery space but a physical and conceptual environment.
