Town and Gown: The Victoria University Art Collection

50 key works from the Victoria University Art Collection have been selected for this exhibition. Town and Gown brings these works, which are usually spread over the university campus, together for the first time, making them accessible to a wider public audience. Artists include Colin McCahon, Dick Frizzell, Gretchen Albrecht, Richard Killeen, Frances Hodgkins, Caroline Williams, Louise Henderson, John Pule, Don Peebles and Robert McLeod among others.

The exhibition also marks the retirement of Professor Tim Beaglehole, Dean of Arts and the driving force behind the collection over the past 35 years.
