Booking Information
City Gallery's diverse Education Programme includes on-going programmes available all year round for all year levels, including Māori and Pacific Art Programmes, Critical and Creative Thinking Skills Programmes, and Outdoor Sculpture Trails. Programmes can be individually tailored to suit class and subject requirements for primary, intermediate and secondary schools.
Essential Booking and Visit Information
Education Programmes are available in term time between 10am -3pm. All programmes are $2 per student for a Gallery tour only and $3 per student for a Gallery tour and practical art-making session in the Education Studio. Alternative programmes are individually priced. Payment for workshops is required on the day of the visit.
We can take a maximum class size of 30 students and a maximum of two classes at one time. Primary and Intermediate groups are required to have a ratio of 1: 8 adults to students. Secondary groups are required to have a ratio of 1:15 adult to students. Please inform accompanying adults to be prepared to play an active support role.
Please note: Bookings are required two weeks in advance.

Preparation
Before making a booking, we suggest you visit the Ministry of Education’s LEOTC programme website for more information about the benefits of LEOTC visits http://leotc.tki.org.nz/
Students gain the most from an LEOTC visit if they are given the opportunity to discuss what they will see and learn prior to the visit. We encourage all teachers to dedicate some time to a pre-visit class discussion before coming to City Gallery Wellington.

Cancellations
If you are unable to attend a programme please notify a City Gallery Educator. Cancellations made with more than 1 weeks notice will not be charged. However, cancellations made with less than 1 weeks notice will incur a 50% charge.
