Curiously Good Craft Time: Listen and Make

11am-12pm and 1-2pm, Wed 30 Sep

Cosy-in for storytime and make some art together at the Gallery.

Listen to Joy Cowley’s wonderful Song of The River, then be inspired to decorate your own concertina-folded picture book with watery journeys that wander and weave through the pages.

Song of the River is a quintessential Joy Cowley story in which Cam the mountain boy follows the river’s journey from its trickling source in the snowy mountains all the way to the sea. Illustrated by Kimberly Andrews, the dramatic landscapes are packed with detail to discover in the world of the river.

Perfect for ages 3-8yrs and their grown-ups!

We have two sessions available to book:
- 11am-12pm (SOLD OUT)
- 1pm-2pm (SOLD OUT)

To go on the wait list please contact: citygalleryeducation@experiencewellington.org.nz

Curiously Good Craft Time is a partnership with the delightful Gecko Press. You can find their books in the Gallery shop next to Nikau Cafe.

Our storyteller for this session is Jonathon Smith from the Wellington City Library team. We're grateful to Wellington Libraries for sharing their storytellers with us!
