We're proud to work with Victoria University to present the annual Gordon H. Brown Art History Lecture.
This year the lecture will be given by Nicholas Thomas, Director of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, Cambridge University. Thomas will consider the interpretation of indigenous art in anthropology and art history.
Nicholas Thomas is the author of Oceanic Art (1995), Discoveries: the voyages of Captain Cook (2003) and Islanders: the Pacific in the Age of Empire (2010), awarded the Wolfson History Prize.
