Talk and Film: Raymond Spiteri on Joseph Cornell

Art historian Raymond Spiteri (Victoria University of Wellington) introduces experimental filmmaker Joseph Cornell’s 1936 collage film Rose Hobart.

Raymond Spiteri teaches art history at Victoria University of Wellington. His focus is surrealism. In 2015, he contributed two essays on surrealism and the Situationist International to the book Aesthetic Revolutions and Twentieth-Century Avant-Garde Movements, and, in 2013, a chapter on surrealist journals to Modernist Magazines: A Critical and Cultural History.
