Tuatara Open Late Celebrates Five Years: Nadia Reid, Sci-Fi Book Club, and More

6 June 2019

Art, music, film, talks, beer, wine, and food. A changing programme of after-dark events on the first Thursday of the month.

Join us to celebrate five years of Tuatara Open Late! This popular monthly event first took place on Thursday 5 June 2014. Since then, we’ve presented forty-six Open Lates.

This month, Heather Galbraith and Thomasin Sleigh take a look at Eva Rothschild’s work. They'll discuss the many contexts which inform Rothschild’s work – the social and spatial aspects of sculpture and play, the modernist-sculpture tradition, classical architecture, popular culture, and gender.

Pip Adam and the City Gallery Book Club return with a sci-fi reading list and panellists Elizabeth Knox, Gregory Kan, and Whiti Hereaka. Experience an exhibition tour of Semiconductor: The Technological Sublime.

Gather your friends, pose in front of Eva Rothschild’s fabulous work, A Sacrificial Layer, and The Amazing Travelling Photo Booth will take your photo and send it straight to your phone.  Plus we'll have FREE sweet birthday treats from Grace Patisserie!

The celebrations will finish with an intimate, ticketed performance from Nadia Reid (now sold out). There will be food from Dutchy's Burger Joint and Radio Active DJ B.Lo returns.
