He Tohu: The New Zealand Room

He Tohu is the first major installation by Jacqueline Fraser following her return to New Zealand as 1992 Moët et Chandon Fellow in France. The project, organised by managing curator Gregory Burke, reaffirms City Gallery Wellington's commitment to artists’ projects as a vital component of its programme. In launching the projects programme He Tohu looks forward. It also looks back, honouring the past use and history of the gallery’s new building, familiar to Wellington residents as the former Wellington Public Library.
