First Tuatara Open Late sees hundreds flock to City Gallery

On Thursday 5 June, we launched the first in a new series of Open Lates with a fantastic turn out of visitors (see our Facebook album for more pics). Tuatara Open Lates take place the first Thursday of the month and feature a changing programme of live music, film, books, performance, special talks and more.

Visitors enjoy the first Tuatara Open Late event

It's all backed up with great food and drink from our friends at Tuatara, Seresin Wines, Six Barrel Soda and, launching in July, The Fire Truck food truck will be parked at the front door!

Refreshments thanks to Tuatara, Seresin Wine, Six Barrel Soda

Tuatara Open Late on 3 July is part of the region-wide Wellington Matariki celebrations and City Gallery will be taking part in an evening of late night openings called Art Night Pō Whakaatu Toi, a collaboration with Pataka in Porirua, The Dowse in Lower Hutt, Expressions Whirinaki in Upper Hutt and Te Papa. Art Night Pō Whakaatu Toi will see FREE buses departing every 30 mins on a circuit between these great galleries, with late openings and special events at all of them. So grab your work mates, family and friends and jump on board.

Seung Yul Oh's MOAMOA, A Decade

At City Gallery, top of the bill on 3 July is the amazing composer and performer Dudley Benson plus there's another chance to explore Seung Yul Oh's exhibition MOAMOA, A Decade after dark. Keep checking the event listing on this site for updates and the full programme.
