Street Art Tour and Stenciling Workshop

Discover the motifs and meanings of street art with a focus on murals in and around Te Ngākau Civic Square. Take a close look at the patterns and symbols in Weaving Hope by Ruth Robertson Taylor and the Muslim community. Examine the Māori figures and motifs used by Johnson Witehira in Ngā Kākano. Students will learn to use stencils and rollers to create a painting inspired by street art.
