Fractured Bottle Blueprints inspired by News From The Sun

Students learnt about several different photographic techniques used by the four contemporary photographers in News From The Sun. These included camera-less photography and digital and analogue ways to combine multiple views together in one image. They learnt about the principals of cubism and saw examples of joiner photos. Then they chose an image of a glass or plastic bottle and experimented with deconstructing and reconstructing it to create a fractured image containing multiple views. They collaged their multi-view compositions onto acetate to create a negative which they then exposed under UV light to make a blueprint of the image.
