'There is no perfect chair,' Martino Gamper.
Children took inspiration from the collection of 100 comical and ingenious sculptural chairs created by Italian designer Martino Gamper who set himself the challenge of creating 100 chairs in 100 days, all made from found objects. Using a collection of foraged items recovered from skips, objects found at second hand shops, and left over materials from other projects, children worked with family members to create sculptural chairs. They used various techniques to build their sculptures including taping, knotting, weaving, threading and tying elements together.
