Art and the Natural World: At Threshholds Tour and Workshop

3 September - 4 December

$3 per student

Age range

All Ages

Can looking at art help us think about our connection to the natural world? Join us to discover sculptures, paintings and photographs that consider humanity’s place within a universe of lifeforms. We’ll examine artworks made with a wide range of materials, techniques, and processes, including an installation of jellyfish made from repurposed bubble wrap and harakeke; paintings made with watercolour and pressed flowers; and lei inspired by the pattern of bird song.

Students will experiment with repurposed materials, and try out methods of fixing and joining to make their own adornment inspired by themes in the exhibition.
