For the safety of our visitors and team, we are postponing our school programmes until the end of April.
We are following Ministry of Health advice guidelines on novel coronavirus and encourage all our visitors to do the same.
Join an educator-led tour of exhibitions at City Gallery to discover artist’s ideas and techniques, and find inspiration for your own art projects. This season’s exhibitions offer a range of contemporary photography, sculpture, drawing, and video to explore. From Michael Parekowhai’s life-sized astronaut in Encounter 1, and tangled grids in Unravelled, to Steve Carr’s silent fireworks display Chasing the Light, and News From the Sun, a show of digital and analogue photography—there’s so many different materials and processes on show at the Gallery.
Take part in group discussions and hands-on activities in the gallery using your creative and critical thinking skills. Tours can be tailored to suit individual class needs or topics. Speak to an educator about your desired learning outcomes.
