In the context of Cindy Sherman, City Gallery and Radio New Zealand present three big and lively conversations exploring contemporary feminism. Across three events, join panellists and RNZ presenters Eva Radich, Megan Whelan and Kim Hill as they explore contemporary ideas and issues around feminism, on a local and global scale.
In this second panel discussion, led by Megan Whelan, speakers discuss ‘Digital Feminism’. Digital technologies are a double-edged sword. They create new freedoms but are also vehicles of abuse, exclusion and exploitation. Is the digital space feminism's new frontier?
Digital Feminism Speakers include:
Anna Guenther, Pledge Me co-founder
Leilani Tamu, poet, historian, former diplomat and social commentator
Angela Meyer, writer and co-founder Ace Ladies Network and Double Denim
Laura O'Connell Rapira, co-founder RockEnrol and Director of Campaigns at ActionStation
Cash bar open before and after each panel. Cindy Sherman will remain open until the event begins—exhibition entry charges apply.
