Nicky Hager is an investigative journalist and the author of seven books. He specialises in hard-to-document subjects, such as military and intelligence agencies, public-relations activities, and unseen sides of politics. His books include Dirty Politics: How Attack Politics Is Poisoning New Zealand’s Political Environment (2014) and Secret Power: New Zealand’s Role in the International Spy Network (1996).
