Give us a hand to welcome Quasi to the Gallery. Hands-on art activities for the whole whānau on the first Saturday of the school holidays. More fun than you can handle!
Drop-in activities include:
- Finger Leg Monsters: create your own misunderstood monster that can tiptoe, jump and run.
- Hand-Puppet Portraits: family portraits or alter egos—draw or collage a paper hand puppet.
- Trace Your Hand: make your mark on our giant floor drawing—transforming hand-shapes into imaginative creations.
- The Hits Prize Wall: Complete a Quasi-inspired LOOk! art activity card between 11am and 1pm to win a prize.
- The Amazing Travelling Photo Booth: Gather in front of the green screen in the reading room and pose in front of the photo booth. The Amazing Travelling Photo Booth will superimpose your face onto a hand—just like Quasi! You’ll get a printed photo to take home.
Plus short films for kids from Square Eyes Film Foundation, competitions and more!
