Our popular Family Day returns with fun art activities for the whole whānau on the last Sunday of the April school holidays.

Join us for fun art activities for the whole whānau inspired by paintings in A Place Apart.

Take us on a journey to your favourite places—real, remembered or imagined.

Drop-in activities include:

• A postcard from: decorate a postcard with a picture of your favourite place - real, remembered or imagined.
• Experiment with paint: explore fun ways of painting.
• Square Eyes films: a collection of short films in partnership with our friends at Square Eyes Film Foundation. Drop by and watch one or two films or stay for the whole collection.
• The Hits Prize Wall: complete a Gallery LOOk! art activity card between 11am and 2pm to win a prize.
• Storytime: storytelling with Thomas LaHood. At 12pm and 2pm, get comfortable in our cosy corner and listen to stories featuring our favourite places.
