On the opening day of the From Scratch: 555 Moons exhibition at City Gallery Wellington, art/music ensemble From Scratch perform Carhorn Hocket in front of the Gallery in Te Ngākau Civic Square. For fifteen boisterous minutes, musicians use eight cars as instruments—slamming doors, honking horns, and revving engines—in a dynamic sharing of rhythm.
At 1pm, following Carhorn Hocket, join Philip Dadson (From Scratch founder) and Andrew Clifford (exhibition curator) for a talk in the 555 Moons exhibition. They will be accompanied by other From Scratch members, who will give voice to instruments in the show with short demos.
