Pōneke Wellington-based artist and musician, Georgette Brown has curated a Hilma af Klint playlist inspired by The Secret Paintings. 

Georgette says: When selecting these tracks, I considered: angelic flourishes, transcendental swirls, ambient synths, choral tones, sweeping strings, spiritual and love-based lyrics, contemplative stretched out moments amidst emotional textural layering. Sound as colour. I imagine the songs could be played whilst walking around the exhibition, while looking at her paintings online or in a book, or perhaps whilst bringing forth one’s own artworks. Hilma’s paintings feel very timeless to me, and every time I look at them, I see and feel new things. To quote a lyric from Beverley Glenn-Copeland’s ‘Ever New’, the first track I knew I wanted to include: “We are ever new, we are ever new.”
