Craftcamp returns to the Gallery with workshops for creative kids aged 5–14 years. Choose from six sessions exploring different mediums and be inspired by the exhibition Cindy Sherman.
All workshops suit beginners to more experienced learners from 5–14 years. Meeting place in the foyer of City Gallery Wellington, Civic Square.
All workshops are held in the Gallery’s Education Studio, upstairs.
Craftcamp is run by Wellington artist Gabby O'Connor.

Craftcamp Loves Cindy Sherman—Portraits Portraits Portraits!
Tuesday 20 December 10am–12.30pm
Character Softies. Make one, make many! Using recycled and surplus fabric from the local fashion industry, we will hand sew mini character portraits that make great gifts or decorations! No experience necessary.
1.30–4pm
Cardboard Portraiture. Using cardboard and brown paper, we will mix 2D and 3D strategies to make new versions of ourselves! Hot glue, tape, scissors and imagination will be used!
Wednesday 21 December 10am–12.30pm
Water Colour Portraits. We will use liquid watercolours to explore tone, shade and volume to create single colour character portraits.
1.30–4pm
Disguises. Using all available materials in the Craftcamp stash, we are going to make a range of unique and mysterious disguises. Masks, beards and more.
Light morning/afternoon tea supplied (please indicate any food allergies).
The lunch hour 12.30–1.30pm is supervised. BYO lunch and water bottle if staying for the whole day.
