Tuatara Open Late

Thursday 6 October, 5pm-10pm

Enjoy a late night at City Gallery Wellington with Tuatara Open Late. The Gallery comes alive with art, music, film, talks with beer, wine, and food to keep you going. Take the time to explore our exhibitions with galleries open until 10pm and experience the changing programme of late-night events.

Take yourself beyond the human this October with At Thresholds and explore humanity’s place within the multispecies.

Awaken your awareness of our shared world and our more-than-human co-habitants with an in-depth guided tour of At Thresholds. Join us as invited experts respond to the themes of At Thresholds, and reflect on the artwork through the lens of their own perspectives at the threshold of other existences. Take a step beyond the threshold and wander through a forest of sonorous subtleties with Wellington’s own indie-folk sibling trio Womb.

Throughout the evening, drop in to our collective origami making activity. Contribute to the bountiful menagerie of sea-life in a collective installation inspired by the enigmatic artworks in At Thresholds.

Explore the Gallery further with the first chance, to see at Open Late, our new season offer exhibitions, Josh Azzarella: Triple Feature, Simon Morris: Room of Time, and Joanna Margaret Paul: Imagined in the Context of a Room.

All this along with our regular fixtures; Tuatara beers, Seresin Estate wine, Taco Addicts food truck and sounds from RadioActive.
