Tuatara Open Late

Thursday 1 June, 5pm-10pm

Stay up late with City Gallery Wellington and enjoy our changing programme of art, music, film, and talks on the first Thursday of every month.

Explore our new suite of first floor exhibitions after hours and hear poets and book club panellists offer fresh perspectives and ways of thinking through Reuben Paterson: The Only Dream Left. End the night with the blissful and contemplative sounds of Belladonna.

Take in the exhibition with a fresh perspective as poets Loretta Riach, Sam Duckor-Jones, Chris Tse, and Sharon Whippy respond to The Only Dream Left.

City Gallery Wellington's occasional book club returns! Inspired by the many stories woven through the artworks and practice of Reuben Paterson, join us in the auditorium to hear our panel of book clubbers reflect on The Only Dream Left through the lens of selected books.

Wrap up the evening with a blissful and contemplative end with music by Belladonna. Belladonna's well-honed knack for evocative storytelling joyfully captures the quirks and romance of everyday life. Let her gentle voice and effortless melodies carry you away on a journey of late-night discovery.

Throughout the evening, take a seat and grab some materials as we challenge you to observe and sketch the curious world of light we have conjoured. Bring you artists' eye and we'll provide materials. Drawn Together is made possible by the generous support of Gordon Harris Wellington.

All this along with our regular fixtures; Tuatara beers, delicious wine, food truck and sounds from a RadioActive DJ.
