Stay up late with City Gallery Wellington and enjoy our changing programme of art, music, film, and talks on the first Thursday of every month.
This July, escape the winter cold for a night of intimate encounters. Go below the surface with our Late Tour and Experts Respond. Throughout the evening, grab a seat and try your hand at life drawing. End your night with the sultry and soulful voice of Wallace.
Take a look at our exhibitions through a different lens with Experts Respond: Kintsugi & Pacific Contemporary Art. Join us as Peter Brunt and Kumiko Jacolin reflect on artworks through their own perspective and experiences uncovering new approaches and ways of looking.
Throughout the evening, take a stool and observe our model as they hold a pose for you in this drop-in drawing experience. Practice your skills in this relaxed drawing encounter, with a drink in hand if you choose. Made possible by the generous support of Gordon Harris Wellington.
End your night an intimate performance by Wallace. Wallace is a refreshing talent, whose music is a mosaic of jazz, hip-hop and soul. Her trademark jazz-influenced, soulful vocal and magnetic presence are a marker of a dynamic artist who vibrantly creates music which showcases her absorbing vocals and clever song writing. This performance will be held in the Adam Auditorium. Space is limited in this venue and there is no assigned seating. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.
All this along with our regular fixtures; Tuatara beers, Matahiwi estate wine, food truck and sounds from a RadioActive DJ.
