Until 1991, City Gallery's building housed Wellington Public Library. Taking the form of a library, this show recalls this history, while considering ways that publications and reading relate to contemporary art. It features 1960s type designs by Joseph Churchward. Posters by Kris Sowersby and Duncan Forbes represent technicalities of book production, distribution, and cataloguing. It also includes a reference library of artists’ books and small-press publications. The furniture is by Holly Beals of Candywhistle.
