Until his death in 2011, Peter Campbell was the resident designer and art critic at the fortnightly London Review of Books. From 1993 to 2011, the expat New Zealander painted its distinctive cover illustrations. This show brings together thirty-six examples. A suspended paper dart, bird eggs like elliptical moons, and a glowing big top in the middle of nowhere—in Campbell's images, ordinary things are handled tenderly, strangely.
